Welcome to the Division of Academic Affairs, which encompasses all the academic and instructional units across our university. As the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, I extend warm greetings as we embark on another exciting academic year here at California State University, Dominguez Hills.
As Provost, I oversee all academic units, including our six colleges, the University Library, and various academic centers, institutes, and instructional programs. In my role as the chief academic officer, I work closely with the Academic Senate and other stakeholders to ensure excellence in teaching, scholarship, creative activities, and service across all faculty and academic programs. As a longtime member of the Toro family, I am deeply committed to our shared mission of enhancing student success and ensuring access for the underserved and diverse communities we serve.
I am honored to be part of this community because CSUDH embodies the core values of public higher education: a steadfast commitment to excellence and innovation, the development of strong university-community partnerships, and, above all, ensuring student success at every level.
With great enthusiasm, I fully support the implementation of our Strategic Plan, Going Far Together. This plan is centered on five key themes: Thriving Students, Thriving Educators, Equitable Access, Culture of Care, and Pillar of the Community, and reflects our commitment to and pride in serving as a socially just, equitable, and inclusive model urban university.
